With over 15 years experience in marine science, policy and communications, Annie brings a wealth of experience to Strategic Ocean Solutions.  She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in marine biology from the University of Miami and a Master’s degree in ocean policy and natural resource management at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. 

Annie has extensive experience managing communication & external relations, having worked for the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary, NOAA Fisheries, Tomales Bay Watershed Council and the University of Miami’s Office of Communications, where she managed the public relations for all science and technology at the university. Her clients are frequently quoted in the media during emerging news stories that involve scientific expertise or a marine conservation perspective. Likewise she has secured feature stories for her clients in National Geographic Magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, The Miami Herald and ABC’s World News Tonight and Nightline, and NPR and BBC radio in addition to many other media outlets.
